Rockfield House

Rockfield House is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to autistic people, people with a learning disability or a mental health condition. The CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches relating to safe care, staffing and governance. Medicines were not always managed safely, recruitment checks and staff supervision fell short, and care plans and risk assessments were not consistently up to date.

Oversight and audits did not always pick up or resolve these issues.

Despite this, inspectors found staff to be kind, attentive and person-centred, supporting people's independence, choices and community involvement. Families praised the staff and the approachable manager, describing a welcoming environment and confidence that concerns would be addressed.
