Blossom View Respite Home

Blossom View Respite Home provides personal care and short breaks for up to 4 people with learning disabilities and autistic people. At inspection, 4 people were living at the service and 4 were receiving respite care. Staff supported people to have maximum choice, control and independence, with people involved in choosing decorations and soft furnishings. However, inspectors found the environment challenging for meeting varied and complex needs. The large communal lounge and dining area were not conducive to supporting people effectively, and the building's layout did not fully align with best practice guidance recommending small-scale domestic settings. A smaller lounge was available for people to use separately.
