Beechwood Specialist Services

Beechwood Specialist Services is a specialist care home supporting adults of all ages living with dementia, nursing needs, mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The CQC rated the home Good overall. Inspectors found kind, person-centred care, strong leadership from the registered manager, and people and families spoke highly of staff and the support provided.

Some shortfalls were identified: risk assessments sometimes lacked detail, medicines recording had gaps, and parts of the building needed redecoration and new furniture. Staff would benefit from further specialist training, and the CQC found governance had improved but still needed greater oversight to resolve longstanding issues.
