This care home accommodates up to 45 people, including those with dementia and physical disabilities. At inspection, 36 residents were living there. The home's environment was unclean and unsafe, with inadequate infection prevention and control practices that failed to protect people from infections. Care records were poorly maintained, with many incomplete sections and care plans that had not been updated to reflect changes in residents' needs. Relatives described staff as kind and caring but noted they appeared overstretched and under stress.

Significant failings were identified in the home's leadership and management. Quality and safety monitoring systems were not used effectively and failed to identify risks or drive improvements. Daily checks of the environment, care practices, and staffing levels had not been carried out as required. However, medicines were administered safely and there were sufficient staff who knew residents well enough to provide appropriate support.
