Beech Dene Residential Care Home

Beech Dene Residential Care Home provides personal care to 32 people, with capacity for up to 35. At the time of inspection, the home's environment presented safety concerns, including a lack of window restrictors and large openings in radiator covers that had not been identified through safety checks. Refurbishment work was ongoing to better meet residents' needs. Medicines were not always managed safely, and staff did not consistently support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in line with least restrictive practice principles.

Care plans required improvement despite being person-centred in approach. Plans were not always updated in a timely manner, and not all health risks were adequately assessed and planned for. The home did support residents to access support from other organisations to achieve positive health outcomes.
