Bearwood Nursing Home

Bearwood Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to 51 people aged 65 and over across two floors in a single adapted building. The ground floor supports people with nursing needs, while the first floor cares for those living with dementia, with residents each having individual bedrooms. The service can accommodate up to 63 people.

During inspection, the home demonstrated strong infection control practices aligned with government COVID-19 guidelines. Staff and visitors underwent comprehensive checks on arrival, and the infection control policy was current. Staff adhered to Personal Protective Equipment guidelines, with additional PPE stations positioned near residents' rooms. Managers held regular staff meetings to communicate the latest guidance, summarising COVID-19 legislation into bullet points to keep all staff informed of legislative changes.
