Valkyrie Lodge

Valkyrie Lodge provides personal care to people requiring mental health support. The service accommodates five residents in a community-based building across three floors with a garden. Residents expressed satisfaction with their living situation and felt supported by staff members.

However, inspectors identified several areas for improvement. Care and treatment records lack sufficient detail and person-centred approaches necessary for safe support. Care plans and risk assessments do not provide adequate guidance to staff for managing risks to residents. Recommendations were made regarding safeguarding practices, staff training and support, and recruitment processes.
