About Bassett House

Bassett House is a nursing care home in Wiltshire. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Bassett House provides nursing and personal care for up to 63 people, including those with sensory impairment, physical disabilities and dementia. At the time of assessment it supported 49 people. The home was previously in breach of regulations over good governance, and the CQC found this had since been put right, with up-to-date care plans, better medicines records and enough safely recruited staff.

Some oversight gaps remained, such as inconsistent kitchen management records, and the service relied heavily on the registered manager to keep standards on track. People and relatives spoke positively about kind staff and good communication with health professionals. Views on food were mixed, but overall the home was rated Good.
