Austen Court Care Home

This nursing home provides personal and nursing care for up to 69 people, supporting younger and older residents with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and dementia. The purpose-built facility spans three floors and was home to 64 people at the time of inspection.

Inspectors found that people were not consistently protected from infection risks, as staff did not always follow good hygiene practices in communal toilet and bathroom areas. The remainder of the home environment was clean, and staff appropriately used personal protective equipment in other settings to help prevent infections.
