Mill House

Mill House provides personal and nursing care for up to 45 people aged 65 and over across two floors with separate adapted facilities. At inspection, 24 people were living there. A new manager had recently been appointed, with additional provider support in place during the transition period. Relatives reported that people felt safe at the home, and the provider was actively monitoring staffing levels to ensure sufficient staff met people's needs.

Inspectors identified that some improvements were needed to ensure risk assessments and management plans remained accurate and updated. Specifically, people's risk of choking needed regular review as their needs changed, to ensure staff had current care records to reference. The provider had already identified this area for improvement through their own quality monitoring and was working on a service improvement plan to address these gaps.
