About Arlington House

Arlington House is a residential care home in Brighton and Hove, providing personal care and support for people with a range of health and social care needs. The most recent findings from the Care Quality Commission are set out below.

Arlington House provides personal care and support for people with a range of health and social care needs. The CQC assessed the home after concerns were raised about medicines management and care delivery, and the rating has dropped from good to requires improvement. Inspectors found a breach of regulations relating to governance, with weak audits that had failed to identify problems, alongside shortfalls in risk assessment, medicines management and care planning.

Despite this, people and relatives told inspectors they felt safe, well cared for and able to raise concerns. Staff were described as kind and knowledgeable, with enough of them on duty, and safeguarding processes were working as they should. The provider has been asked to submit an action plan to address the concerns found.
