Charles Lodge is a residential care home accommodating up to 27 older people living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 15 people were resident at the home. The service provides personal care and support tailored to the needs of people with dementia.

Inspectors found strong infection control practices in place. The home had implemented robust measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission among residents, staff and visitors. Access was restricted to essential visitors only, who were required to pre-arrange visits and undergo COVID-19 testing on arrival if they hadn't been recently tested.

Visitors were also required to follow handwashing protocols upon entry to the home.
