Arbour Walk

Arbour Walk provides nursing care and accommodation for up to 83 older adults with dementia and mental health needs. At the time of inspection, 59 people were living at the home. Residents and their relatives described staff as kind and skilled, with people feeling safe in their care. One resident noted, "I feel safe because I know I have got someone to talk to when I am feeling low," while another said, "I feel safe, I have always got carers around, we are looked after." Staff were guided by current risk assessments tailored to each person's needs and demonstrated up-to-date understanding of safeguarding procedures. The home had systems in place to monitor accidents and incidents, managed medicines safely, and implemented infection control practices. Recruitment and selection processes ensured suitable staff were employed to protect people from unsafe practice.
