Riversway Nursing Home

Riversway provides accommodation and nursing and personal care for 63 people across two floors, with 53 residents at the time of inspection. During a Covid outbreak, the home supported residents' wellbeing by enabling those without the virus to isolate safely in their rooms, while allowing socially distanced socialising where appropriate. Residents appeared happy and relaxed in their home environment.

The service received strong feedback from families throughout the pandemic. Relatives praised staff for their dedication, with comments highlighting the "fantastic office staff," "outstanding job of shielding our relative," and recognition that staff "could not have done more." The home ensured all visiting arrangements complied with government guidance and adjusted these during outbreaks. Every resident had access to a nominated Essential Care Giver during the outbreak period, supporting both residents and staff emotional wellbeing during challenging circumstances.
