Ann Challis

Ann Challis is a residential care home providing support to older women living with dementia. The CQC found the service performing well overall, rated Good. People and their families were involved in care planning, staff understood and managed risks, medicines were given as prescribed, and the home was clean and well maintained, with enough trained staff on duty.

Inspectors found staff kind and attentive, protecting people's privacy and dignity, and offering activities such as external singers and walks with the home's dog. Communication with management was good, concerns were listened to, and governance systems ensured identified actions were completed. Feedback from families, staff and professionals was positive throughout.
