Meade Close

Meade Close is a residential care home in Trafford for up to nine people with physical and sensory impairments, learning disabilities, complex health needs and autism. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, prompted by concerns about care standards, medicines management, staffing and leadership. Inspectors found medicines were not managed safely and the provider was carrying out a regulated activity without proper registration and clinical oversight.

Care plans were personalised, and staff were generally kind and respectful, maintaining people's privacy and dignity. However, routines lacked flexibility, some staff needed more confidence and training, and relatives gave mixed feedback about personal care and communication. Governance improvements were underway, but the CQC found it unclear how far learning had been embedded.
