Amberley Care Home

Amberley Care Home in Dudley provides residential care for up to 25 older and younger people, including those living with dementia. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and has placed it in special measures, finding continued breaches around risk management and governance, alongside new breaches covering person-centred care, consent, safeguarding and staff recruitment.

Inspectors found risks and medicines were not managed safely, staff lacked adequate training, and safeguarding procedures were not properly followed. Quality assurance systems had failed to catch these problems. Most people and relatives spoke positively about staff kindness, but said they were rarely involved in care planning and wanted better activities and food choice.
