About Amber Lodge Nursing Home

Amber Lodge Nursing Home is a nursing home in Derby, providing care for adults, including those living with dementia or physical disabilities. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Amber Lodge Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 40 adults, including people living with dementia or physical disabilities. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 35 people were living at the home. Inspectors found the service had improved since its last assessment and was no longer in breach of regulations, with all areas now rated Good.

People felt safe and were supported by confident, well-trained staff, with good support around eating, drinking and health monitoring. Care plans were up to date and leadership was viewed positively. However, the CQC found that staff availability sometimes affected people's personal care and choices, and not everyone was satisfied with support for their appearance.
