About Amber House Residential Home

Amber House Residential Home in Staffordshire provides personal care to older adults, some living with dementia. This follow-up inspection found the home had made significant progress and was no longer in breach of previous regulations. Safeguarding, risk management, cleanliness and medicines handling had all improved, though staffing levels and documentation still needed further development.

Inspectors found staff kind, respectful and attentive, and people felt safe and well cared for. Care planning and health monitoring had strengthened, but oral health recording, end-of-life planning and activity provision needed more work. Leadership and governance were improving but remained inconsistent, keeping the well-led rating at requires improvement overall.
