Fig House

Fig House is a care home providing personal care and support for up to 26 people, including older adults. The CQC found staff recruitment had improved since the last assessment, and people and relatives described care as safe, attentive and person centred. However, inspectors found gaps in diabetic care planning, risk assessments and mental capacity records for some people, along with notification failures not picked up by the provider's own quality checks.

This meant the home remained in breach of good governance rules.

Overall the service was rated Good, reflecting positive staffing levels, cleanliness and caring relationships with people and families. Well-led was rated Requires Improvement, as governance systems had not identified these shortfalls. The provider has been asked to submit an action plan addressing the concerns found.
