Alexandra House - Harlow

Alexandra House in Harlow provides personal and nursing care to up to 106 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 97 people were using the service across three floors in one adapted building. People told inspectors they felt safe, with risks to their safety assessed and guidance in place for staff to mitigate these risks. Accidents and incidents were recorded and analysed to identify patterns, with action taken to reduce future occurrences. Staff understood safeguarding processes and medicines were managed safely, with sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs.

People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with staff providing assistance in decision-making and respecting their preferences regarding care and daily activities.
