Acorn Manor

Acorn Manor provides accommodation and personal care to up to 9 adults with learning disabilities. At the time of inspection, 7 people were using the service. Staff knew residents well and understood how to protect them from abuse, working effectively with other agencies to keep people safe. While residents could not verbally comment on their safety, their relaxed and positive body language when interacting with staff indicated they felt secure. Relatives expressed confidence, stating they had no worries about their loved one's safety and that residents were settled and happy at the home.

The service supported residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, enabling people through policies and systems that promoted least restrictive practice and their best interests. Comprehensive risk assessments covered all aspects of the service and support provided, ensuring residents lived safely and free from unwarranted restrictions. Staff monitored and managed safety effectively throughout the home.
