Acorn House in Bideford is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to six adults with autism and a learning disability. At the time of assessment, four people were using the service. The CQC rated the home Good overall.

Inspectors found people were kept safe from avoidable harm, with staff who knew them well, managed risks sensitively, and administered medicines safely. Staff were well trained, and recruitment practices were sound. Care was person-centred, promoted choice and independence, and followed the principles of the Mental Capacity Act.

Leadership was described as clear, effective and well supported by external relationships.
