Acorn Heights Care Home

Acorn Heights Care Home accommodates up to 22 people, some living with dementia or mental ill health. The home is situated on a main road close to Burnley town centre. The management team has established robust infection prevention and control procedures that staff understand and follow consistently. All staff have completed relevant training and participate in weekly testing programmes, with appropriate PPE in use and plentiful supplies maintained throughout the home. The home maintains a good standard of cleanliness across all areas.

The management team has reviewed visiting policies to ensure any visits are carried out safely, with individual risk assessments in place. Staff have found creative ways to enable residents to maintain contact with relatives through technology, window visits, and outdoor patio visits. A warm and safe outdoor space is being developed to further support visiting arrangements.
