Healey Lodge Residential Home

Healey Lodge provides personal care to up to 24 people in a two-storey adapted building, supporting younger people, those over 65, autistic people, and people with learning disabilities. At inspection, 22 people were using the service. Staff were able to recognise abuse and knew how to report it, and people told inspectors they felt safe and well cared for. There were enough staff to meet people's needs, and staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible.

However, medicines were not always managed safely and recruitment checks were not always being completed. Required health and safety checks were being carried out. Inspectors made recommendations about improving infection prevention and control measures and seeking the views of people more systematically.
