Ackroyd House

Ackroyd House provides nursing and personal care for adults of all ages, including people living with dementia. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about pressure care, nutrition and hydration, and social isolation, but found no evidence to support these. Inspectors rated the home Good overall, finding people were kept safe, staff understood risks well, and care was tailored to individual preferences.

People and relatives spoke positively about kind, knowledgeable staff and a supportive management team. Staffing levels, recruitment, training and medicines management were all found to be effective. The service had a strong learning culture, with people confident to raise concerns and confident these would be addressed.
