Abbottswood Lodge Residential Care Home

Abbottswood Lodge provides accommodation and personal care for up to 13 people over 65, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 11 people were using the service.

People and their relatives felt safe with the care provided. Staff understood how to protect people from harm and recognise abuse. Risks to people had been assessed and recorded, and the service maintained cleanliness and followed infection control guidelines. There were sufficient staff recruited safely, and people received their medicines safely.

People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with staff backing these choices.
