Wythall Residential Home

Wythall Residential Home, in Worcestershire, provides care for up to 22 older people, some living with dementia. It is currently rated Good. This followed enforcement action at an earlier inspection, when the service was rated requires improvement and found in breach of regulations on safe care, safeguarding and governance; inspectors found the provider had since met the required conditions and was no longer in breach.

The CQC found a newly registered manager had improved communication with health professionals, though some medicines management shortfalls were identified and quickly addressed. Feedback systems and some policies still needed strengthening, but the environment was clean and well maintained, and people and relatives described staff as caring, patient and supportive.
