The CQC rated the home as Requires Improvement overall, though previous breaches around person-centred care and governance had been resolved. Inspectors found ongoing maintenance issues, including fire doors, radiator covers and unlagged pipes, along with gaps in medicines monitoring and recruitment checks.

Governance systems had improved but were not yet embedded enough to catch these problems.

People and relatives spoke positively about the care, feeling safe and involved in planning. Staff were praised for treating people as individuals, and activities had generally improved, though some residents still reported boredom. The registered manager was well regarded by everyone spoken to.
