Tandy Court

This care home supports up to 40 people, including adults of all ages with dementia or physical disabilities. At inspection, 39 people were using the service. While the home had effective quality assurance systems and staff demonstrated good communication techniques adapted to individual needs, medicines were not always administered safely or appropriately. People were not consistently supported according to their care plans and identified needs, and cleaning and hygiene systems were not always followed. The home supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible.

Most residents, relatives and staff spoke positively about the management of the service. Physical, mental and social needs were assessed and documented in care plans and risk assessments. Systems were in place to seek feedback from people using the service and drive continuous improvements.
