Wykebeck Court Care Home

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to 41 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 84 residents. The service operates across two floors, with one floor specialising in dementia care. People and their relatives reported feeling safe at the home. Staff had received training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and appropriate referrals were made when needed. Medicines were managed safely, with people receiving their prescriptions as directed and systems in place to support this.

The home deployed sufficient staff to meet people's needs and provided them with appropriate training and ongoing support from senior staff. Risk assessments were conducted and monitored regularly to keep residents safe. Staff supported people to make choices about their care and lives, using the least restrictive approaches and acting in their best interests in line with the home's policies and practices.
