Oak Tree Lodge

Oak Tree Lodge provides accommodation and personal care for up to 60 older people across three floors, with 56 residents at the time of inspection. However, inspectors found that people were not always safe. The home failed to consistently identify or mitigate risks related to residents' health and care needs, and medicines were not managed safely. While accidents and incidents were recorded, actions to prevent repeat events were not always followed through.

Staff felt stretched and believed they did not always have adequate time to deliver quality care. Despite these concerns, the home had safely recruited staff and maintained systems to safeguard people from abuse and control infection. Staff received appropriate training and formal support for their roles.
