Woody Point

Woody Point is a residential care home providing personal care to six adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental and physical healthcare needs. During inspection, inspectors found the service was not fully meeting best practice guidance for supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people. The home did not consistently provide a secure, clean, well-maintained environment that met residents' physical and sensory needs, and inspectors identified risks that had not been fully assessed or mitigated against, putting people at risk of harm. While staffing numbers were adequate, the service experienced challenges with personnel retention and recruitment that affected continuity of care and disrupted some residents' routines. The registered manager had been working care shifts to maintain safe staffing levels rather than overseeing the service's overall operation.
