The staff team demonstrated commitment to supporting people's independence while managing risks appropriately. Residents received their medicines as prescribed, and staff encouraged people to manage their own medications where possible to maximise independence. Staff understood each person's communication preferences and used appropriate tools to support decision-making, empowering residents to make meaningful choices about their lives and care.

The service operated in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests. Staff protected people from all forms of abuse and discrimination, with a clear understanding of how to raise safeguarding concerns when necessary. The home's policies and systems supported these practices, ensuring people received respect, equality and dignity while maintaining good access to their local communities and independence in daily life.
