Woodheyes

Woodheyes provides personal care for older people with dementia and sensory needs across two floors of an adapted building with lift access, currently supporting 27 of its 38 capacity residents. Staff, residents and relatives spoke positively about the provider and recently appointed manager. However, inspectors identified several areas requiring improvement. Quality assurance systems and audits were not robust enough to identify shortfalls, and people's needs and risks were not always fully assessed. Mental capacity assessments lacked sufficient detail and rigour, raising concerns about whether staff could consistently support people in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. Staff highlighted staffing levels and supervision as areas needing attention.
