About Kirby House

Kirby House is a residential care home in Leicestershire. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Kirby House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 41 people with a range of needs, including older people and those living with dementia, physical disability, mental health needs or sensory impairment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding staff kind, knowledgeable and well supported by leaders, with safe medicines management and good health monitoring.

Care plans were personalised and reflected people's histories and wishes. However, inspectors found staffing shortages sometimes limited people's access to community activities, and improvements identified through environmental audits were not always completed within the provider's own timescales.
