Wings

Wings is a residential care home providing personal care to up to six adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and older people. The bungalow has single bedrooms with shared bathrooms and an enclosed garden. The service is located in a rural area, which presents challenges for accessing the community. During the inspection, staff shortages and lack of drivers meant people were not consistently able to access planned daytime activities, leading to disappointment and frustration for residents. The home was unable to demonstrate how it was meeting key principles around supporting people to access their local communities and activities that enhance their independence and wellbeing.
