About Windle Court

Windle Court is a residential care home in Essex, offering accommodation and personal care for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details on how the service performs can be found in the CQC findings below.

Windle Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 76 older people, including those living with dementia, across three units, two in the main building and one in an adjacent house. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding strong governance, evidence-based care planning, weekly GP oversight and robust recruitment and training practices.

Inspectors noted some odour issues, which prompted deep cleaning and continence reviews, and raised concerns about staffing levels and communication with families, which the provider addressed by increasing evening staff and setting clear timescales for updates. People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, familiar staff, describing good food, activities and quick action when health concerns arose.
