Wilmington Manor Care Home

This care home provides residential accommodation and nursing care for up to 50 older people, with 40 residents living there at the time of inspection. Residents had varying nursing care needs, and the accommodation was arranged across two floors with two lifts to enable easy movement between levels.

The registered manager had implemented infection control procedures including requiring all visits to be by appointment only, with pre-visit risk assessments completed for each visitor. Face-to-face visits by one designated person were permitted following a negative rapid COVID-19 test, and a visitor pod had been created to facilitate safe visits.
