Willow Court Nursing Home

Willow Court Nursing Home is a nursing home providing personal and health care, including support for people with complex needs and end-of-life care. Following concerns that staff were not always recognising or escalating health deterioration, the CQC inspected and rated the service Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found breaches relating to consent, safe care and treatment, and governance, with gaps in care plans, risk assessments and quality checks that could leave people at risk of avoidable harm.

Staff were described by people and relatives as kind, professional and attentive, and most calls for help were answered promptly, though some felt stretched at busy times. Activities and mealtime choice were inconsistent for some residents. The provider has been asked to submit an action plan to address the shortfalls identified.
