About Andover Nursing Home

Andover Nursing Home is a nursing care home in Hampshire, supporting younger and older adults with a range of needs. Full details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Andover Nursing Home is a care home providing nursing support to younger and older people, including some living with dementia, autistic people and people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, 74 people lived there. The CQC found staff were kind and motivated, treating people as individuals and supporting their choices and relationships with family.

People felt safe and praised the quality of care and activities on offer.

However, inspectors found quality and risk monitoring systems were not always effective, with gaps identified in medicines management, recruitment records and care documentation. The provider began making improvements during the assessment. Some care records lacked enough detail for staff to fully understand people's needs.
