Weston Favell Houses

Weston Favell Houses is a small care home providing accommodation, nursing, rehabilitation and personal care for up to three people. Following a comprehensive assessment, the CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement carried forward from its previous Good rating in 2017.

Inspectors found staff were knowledgeable about people's risks and medicines were managed safely, though some care plans and risk assessments needed improvement and staff training compliance was not yet complete. Leaders were described as capable and person-centred, with people and relatives praising the kindness, respect and independence encouraged by staff. Some governance processes still needed strengthening, but improvement work was already underway.
