Sunningdale House

Sunningdale House is a residential care home supporting up to 13 people with mental health, learning disability and autism. At the time of inspection, eight people were using the service. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives using the least restrictive approach possible. The home safely recruited staff in line with policy and legislative requirements, employing enough staff to spend quality time developing people's skills and promoting independence. Staff received supervision, appraisals and spot checks to ensure best practice, particularly when supporting people with medicines. All people received initial assessments with care plans in place to manage known risks. Care plans and risk assessments reflected individual needs and preferences, and staff demonstrated good knowledge of the support required for each person.
