About Welcome House - Gillingham Homes

Welcome House, run by Gillingham Homes, is a residential care service in Medway supporting people living with mental health conditions. Further details on the findings of its most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Welcome House provides residential care to up to 10 people living with mental health conditions, including obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia. The service operates across three houses in a residential street and at the time of inspection was supporting three residents.

People felt safe at the service and were observed to be relaxed and communicative with both staff and the registered manager. Staff demonstrated a clear understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities and knew how to report concerns appropriately through external channels such as social services and the police, with processes in place to document concerns in care notes.
