Waterhall Care Home

Waterhall Care Home provides personal care and support for up to 56 older adults, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 40 people were using the service. The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices. Staff had received training on infection prevention and use of personal protective equipment, with posters and guidance on hand hygiene displayed throughout. Hand sanitiser points were readily available, and ample supplies of PPE including facemasks, visors, gloves, aprons and disinfectant wipes were in stock. PPE stations were positioned outside each bedroom, containing supplies for staff to use before providing personal care. Used equipment was disposed of immediately in clinical waste bins to reduce cross-infection risks. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection took place regularly throughout the home.
