About Walshaw Hall

Walshaw Hall is a residential care home in Bury, providing personal care and accommodation for people needing residential support, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC observed during its most recent inspection.

Walshaw Hall provides personal care and accommodation for up to 56 people across three floors, supporting people living with dementia as well as those needing residential care. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding that staff delivered kind, attentive care that respected people's dignity and wishes, though not all staff had completed mandatory training and some medicine cream charts were incomplete.

People living at the home said they felt safe and well cared for, and relatives praised the meaningful activities on offer and the responsiveness of staff. A newly registered manager had taken up post and was aware of the shortfalls identified, with plans in place to address them.
