Villette Lodge Assessment and Re-enablement Service supports up to six people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorders. The service demonstrated strong infection control practices, including easy read guidance on coronavirus and PPE for residents, with staff and residents working together to maintain cleanliness. Clear signage throughout the home indicated capacity limits for each room to support social distancing. The registered manager established designated areas for applying and removing PPE, implemented proper clinical waste disposal procedures, and created isolation zones when needed. The service maintained adequate PPE supplies and ensured staff and residents followed testing and isolation guidelines. Visitors underwent temperature checks, received hygiene information and PPE as required, and completed COVID-19 assessments before entry. Residents began having regular visits with relatives in the garden area while maintaining social distancing measures.
