Cedars Lodge provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for its residents. At the previous inspection in December 2017, the service was rated as requiring improvement, primarily due to concerns about medicines administration practices and inadequate auditing of these processes. Staff were not following good practice guidelines, and there was insufficient oversight of medication management.

During this inspection, significant improvements were evident. Medicines administration practices now align with good practice standards, and robust oversight systems are in place. The service demonstrated strong auditing procedures and proper management of medications.

These improvements have resulted in the service being upgraded to a good rating, reflecting the effective changes made since the previous visit.
