Victoria Grand

Victoria Grand is a residential care home providing support to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the home as Requires Improvement, finding that staffing levels were insufficient to meet people's needs promptly, with some left alone for long periods. Inspectors also found unsafe laundry practices posing an infection risk, and drinks not always within reach.

On a positive note, the CQC found people received their medicines safely, ate a nutritious diet, and were treated with dignity by kind staff who supported their independence. Governance had improved since the last inspection, though not enough to prevent continuing breaches relating to safe care and staffing.
