Victoria Care Centre

Victoria Care Centre provides nursing care and accommodation for up to 115 people across four units, caring primarily for older people, some living with dementia, as well as those who have experienced head or brain injuries. At the time of inspection, 99 people were resident in the home.

The centre demonstrated strong infection prevention and control measures throughout the facility. A washbasin was installed at an entrance with hand sanitiser and a shoe sanitising mat to minimise infection risks. Staff underwent temperature checks and wore personal protective equipment including face masks, gloves and aprons before entering accommodation areas. The home had designated changing facilities where staff changed from their travel clothes into clean, daily-laundered uniforms before starting their shifts, with travel clothes secured in lockers to prevent contamination.
